March tech classes

We have a couple of standard tech classes this March, along with two opportunities to spend time getting to know the Digital Media Lab.  It’s a coincidence that everything happens to be in-person this month – we’ll keep mixing in Zoom classes for quite a while, since they've been very popular.

If you’re interested in trying Google Calendar for the first time or using more of its features, this introduction will show you how to log in, create an event (with a name, time, location, guests, and description), create a calendar, set up notifications, make repeating events, and share events and calendars.

Digital Media Lab Tour
March 4, 10:30-11:00am
Digital Media Lab
Get a run-down of the equipment and software available in the library for your creative and digitization projects, such as converting VHS tapes to DVD, scanning photos and slides, or using Adobe software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro.

Craft Night in the Lab
March 14, 7:00-8:30pm
Digital Media Lab
Bring your own portable craft project and enjoy the company of other makers, or make your own shrinky dinks and 2" buttons with our provided supplies.  The lab is equipped with Adobe software, Canva, and Microsoft Word for you to create and print fresh designs for your buttons or images to trace for shrinky dinks.

Note: We're also switching to new Digital Media Lab Help Hours, now that our new intern Emma will be joining us!  We'd love to see you this spring and get you started with Adobe software or projects that use the lab's equipment.
